Young leader and veteran director appointed.
District Councillor Ngan Man-yu to head Young DAB.
The pro-establishment DAB Central Committee has appointed Ngan Man-yu (顏汶羽) as the new chairman of Young DAB as former head Holden Chow Ho-ting (周浩鼎) has become the party’s vice-chairman. Ngan, currently a member of the Kwun Tong District Council, pledged professionalisation and localisation of the organisation. A reshuffle within Young DAB is expected in this and coming months.
Government appoints new Director of Civil Engineering and Development.
The Government announced the appointment of Mr Daniel Chung Kum-wah, current Director of Drainage Services since February 2014, as Director of Civil Engineering and Development with effect from May 11, 2015. Chung has 30 years of services in the Government. He was promoted to Chief Engineer in September 2001, to Government Engineer in August 2009 and to Principal Government Engineer in July 2012.
