CY Leung attends Mexico National Day Reception; Festive Korea announce schedule; India host investment trade show.
The Consul General of Mexico in Hong Kong & Macao Special Administrative Regions held the Mexico National Day Reception on Tuesday September 15th, 2015 to celebrate the two hundred and fifth anniversary celebration of the Independence of Mexico.
Attending guests from the Hong Kong Government included Chief Executive of Hong Kong, Secretary of Commerce and Economic Development, Honorable Gregory So, Secretary for Education, Eddie H. K. Ng, and Secretary for the Civil Service, Clement Cheung Wan-ching. Deputy Commissioner of the Office the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China in Hong Kong, Song Ru’an (宋如案) was also among the attendees.
Mexican Consul General Alicia Guadalupe Buenrostro Massieu summarised the growth in bilateral trade relations between Mexico and Hong Kong in the past year, and announced the SEPTIEMBRE MEXICANO, a month long festival in celebration of the two hundred and fifth Anniversary of Independence of my country.
To end her speech, the Mexican CG led the crowd in a toast to Hong Kong, and the PRC.

The fifth edition of Festive Korea was announced on September 15. The event is organized by the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Hong Kong, in collaboration with Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Korea and Home Affairs Bureau of the Government of Hong Kong SAR.
For its 5th Anniversary, Festive Korea heightens the appreciation and enjoyment of Korean art and culture through diversified programmes including opera, musical, classical and pop music, cinema, exhibitions, gourmet, presenting Hong Kong audiences a colorful event.

The State Government of Telangana, along with Consulate General of India, mounted an investment roadshow in Hong Kong to inform companies in Hong Kong about business opportunities in India.
Honorable Chief Minister Mr. K. Chandrashekhar Rao led a high level delegation for the event. Consul General Prashant Agrawal highlighted elements that made Telangana, aka India’s start-up state, a natural partner for Hong Kong companies.
