A new canton-ese Consul General arrives among the Cantonese of Hong Kong: Switzerland’s new Consul General.

Mr Reto Renggli assumed the post of Consul General at the Consulate General of Switzerland in Hong Kong SAR and Macau SAR in July 2015.
He started his professional career in the financial sector before joining the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs and was posted to Vancouver, Stuttgart, Bonn and Warsaw. In 2007 he was appointed Consul General in Edinburgh, UK, covering Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Isle of Man. From 2011 to 2015 Mr Renggli was Head of the HR-Resources Planning Department in the Direction of Resources in Berne.
Mr Renggli studied Business Administration and holds a Master of Advanced European Studies and has two daughters living in Switzerland.
