The CE went all out on Kuwait National Day in black tie to celebrate the 55th anniversary of Kuwait National Day and 10th anniversary of the accession of the country’s Amir.
In perhaps a first for a national day celebration, the CE came out in black tie to help Kuwait celebrate their national day.
The Kuwaiti Consul General, Khaled B. Al-Mutairi, was resplendent in national garb, perhaps prompting the CE to up his game. Or perhaps the CE was tuxed up for the the preceding Spring Dinner with ExCo and senior government officials.
Many were in Middle Eastern garb lending to a festive atmosphere. As always, the Middle Eastern cuisine was magnificent with the Assaf Brothers of Beyrouth Cafe joining forces with the Island Shangri-La kitchens with giant spits of roasted meats and their signature secret flavours of the region.
Diplomats, government officials, business people and the Kuwaiti community were out in force!
