Peter Lam to lead HKTB for three more years; HKMA announces personnel and structural changes.


 

Peter Lam re-appointmented as chairman of Tourism Board

The Government re-appointed Peter Lam (林建岳) as chairman of the Tourism Board for three years from April 1, 2016, to March 31, 2019.

Jeny Yeung Mei-chun (楊美珍), Commercial Director of the MTR Corp, will join the board and replace the outgoing KMB non-executive director Winnie Ng Wing-mui (伍穎梅) for a two-year term from March 1, 2016, to February 28, 2018.

 

HKMA makes personnel and job division changes

The Hong Kong Monetary Authority announced that Deputy Chief Executive Peter Pang (彭醒棠) will retire effective February 26, 2016, after serving the HKMA for 22 years.

Mr Pang will be succeeded by Senior Executive Director Howard Lee (李達志). Mr Lee will oversee the areas of external affairs and reserves management, while Eddie Yue (阮國恆), another Deputy chief Executive, will take over the research works under Pang’s supervision.

 

Hospital Authority announces three hospital chief executive appointments

The Hospital Authority appointed Dr Lee Tsz-leung (李子良), Dr Chong Yee-hung (莊義雄) and Dr Pang Fei-chau (彭飛舟) as Hospital Chief Executive (HCE) of Hong Kong Children’s Hospital, Hong Kong Buddhist Hospital and Tung Wah Group of Hospitals Wong Tai Sin Hospital, as well as Grantham Hospital respectively.

Dr Lee is an experienced paediatrician by background with special interest in paediatric rheumatology, and is currently the Chief Manager (Quality and Standards) at the HA Head Office

Dr Chong Yee-hung is currently Chief Manager of Kowloon West Cluster and Deputy Hospital Chief Executive of North Lantau Hospital (NLTH).

Dr Pang is a fellow of medicine and community medicine, and is currently the Chief Manager (Medical Grade) at the HA Head Office.

The Hong Kong Children’s Hospital will commence service in 2018, but Dr Lee will be responsible for the final phase of development starting from April 1, 2016.
