The Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce reaffirmed its ties with the Americas as host of cocktail reception held on March 31 with Western hemisphere Consul Generals.

Headliners at the event included CGs Clifford Hart (USA), Ian Burchett (Canada), José Miguel González Serrano (Chile), soon departing Alicia Buenrostro Massieu (Mexico), Sergio Manuel Avila Traverso (Peru) and Acting CG Diana Catalina Dávila Suárez (Colombia). Chairman of the HKGCC’s Americas Committee, Thomas Wong was there to address the floor.
The Americas Committee is one of the HKGCC’s trade area committees, which provide substantive programmes and information to chamber members who seek to expand their contact and strengthen business ties with the US, Canada and the Latin America. The committee’s vice-chairmen, Chief Representative of Banco Security and chairman of The Chilean Chamber in Hong Kong Mario Ignacio Artaza and Director of Ahuja Jewellery (HK), Gary Ahuja, were also present at the event.
