NYT bureau chief to depart for Shanghai
Bureau chief of The New York Times Keith Bradsher is on leave until mid-November, when he will become the Shanghai bureau chief for NYT.
Bradsher has been appreciated for his contribution to Hong Kong’s journalism as First Vice President, Governor and Co-Convenor of Professional Committee of the Hong Kong Foreign Correspondents’ Club.
Sister of Ann Chiang appointed to Occupational Safety and Health Council
The government has appointed eight incumbent members and five new members to the Occupational Safety and Health Council for a term of two years starting from 22 August, 2016.
Among the new member is Chiang Lai-ling (蔣麗苓), younger sister of incumbent DAB lawmaker Ann Chiang (蔣麗芸). Other new members are Helen Kwan Po-jen (關寶珍), David Mong Tak-yeung (蒙德揚), son of entrepreneur Dr William Mong Man Wai (蒙民偉), Siu Sin-man (蕭倩文), and Wendy Yuen Miu-ling (袁妙齡).
Industrialist named head of MPF Industry Schemes Committee
Dr Roy Chung Chi-ping (鍾志平) has been named Chairman of the Mandatory Provident Fund Industry Schemes Committee (ISC) with effect from 25 August, 2016, for a period of two years until 25 August, 2018.
Chung has been a member of the Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Advisory Committee since 2013 and is a member of the board of Federation of Hong Kong Industries.
