New appointments to Consumer Council
The government has announced the appointment of barrister Samuel Chan Ka-yan as the Vice-Chairman of the Consumer Council for a term of two years with effect from 7 October, 2017.
The government also appointed Vanessa Lau Chi-wan and Professor Nora Tam Fung-yee, and the re-appointment of Mr Steven Ho Chun-yin as members of the Consumer Council for a term of two years with effect from 1 November, 2017.
Two new members appointed to COSH
The government has appointed Dr Daniel Ho Sai-yin and Sandy Wong Hang-yee as new members of the Hong Kong Council on Smoking and Health.
Three serving members, Dr Lee George Lam, Dr Susie Lum Shun-sui and Dr Christina Maw Kit-chee, are re-appointed with effect from 1 October, 2017, for a term of two years.
Appointment to Occupational Safety and Health Council
Grace Szeto Pui-yuk has been appointed as member of the Occupational Safety and Health Council for the period from 30 September, 2017 to 21 August, 2018.
Szeto is currently the honourary advisor of the Occupational Health, Safety and Rehabilitation Specialty Group of the Hong Kong Physiotherapy Association.
Seven new members appointed to Research Council
The government has announced the appointment of 14 non-official members to the Research Council for a term of two years, with effect from 1 October, 2017, among them seven are new members.
The new members are Dr Vincent Cheng Chi-chung, Professor Timothy Kwok Chi-yui, Professor Lau Chak-sing, Professor Leung Suet-yi, Professor Lyu Aiping, Professor Hextan Ngan Yuen-sheung and Professor Yip Shea-ping.
