Japan’s New CG in Hong Kong – Konichiwa to Mr. Noda!
Diplomat is pleased to welcome Mr. Hitoshi Noda, Consul General and Ambassador to Hong Kong and Macau. He comes to us from the UK where he started as the Minister, Consul General and was promoted to Minister Plenipotentiary before coming to Hong Kong. He has been posted in Israel, Malaysia, and the USA in previous postings. His posting in the USA came more than a decade after he completed his Masters in International Affairs at Columbia University in New York.
In addition to playing the piano and tennis, he has acquired a love for the British style of high tea and cycling in and out of town- suggesting an invitation to the Peninsula or to cycling together to The Peak,or along Nathan Road may not be out of place! We wish him the best as he works to support the resident and visiting Japanese communities and contributes to Sino-Japanese ties via Hong Kong and Macau.
