Investment Promotion Ambassador: Thomas Wong
OK, it’s not like a diplomat ambassador, but interesting nonetheless. InvestHK ‘deputises’ Hong Kongers to assist in promoting Hong Kong as an investment destination through direct appointment by the Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development. They are chosen for their dedication and aptitude in delivering the message about Hong Kong’s strengths as an investment destination.
Thomas Wong, Partner and Cofounder at accounting firm CWCC got his badge recently and is, as far as Emigre knows, the only CPA in the bunch. His firm is renown in the Latin American and Spanish community for their dedication and experience in serving this community. The list of his fellow Ambassadors reads like an A list of the Hong Kong business community, including Dr Victor Fung, Dr Allen Zeman, Ms Marjorie Yang, Bernard Chan, Raj Sital, and Richard Li. ProChile staying in Hong Kong
On 31st March, Francisco Retamales concluded his tenure as Trade Commissioner of Consulate General of Chile in Hong Kong SAR and Macau SAR. After few weeks visiting Chile and based on his experience, Francisco is back in Hong Kong working on some projects oriented to strengthening the commercial links between Chile and Hong Kong, promoting high quality and healthy Chilean products in this region.
