The Hungarian Consulate General has organised a series of activities to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Hungarian Revolution of 1956.

“Once and for all, the world woke up from the illusion of Communism. In October 1956 the Hungarian nation proved that it was able of taking control of its own destiny,” Hungarian Consul General Pál Kertész said at the opening ceremony of an exhibition and film screening of Children of Glory on 2 November.

The University Museum and Art Gallery (UMAG) of The University of Hong Kong is also collaborating with the Ferenc Hopp Museum of Asiatic Arts in Budapest to present an exhibition and publication Pictures of the Past: Hungarian Photographer Dezső Bozóky in Hong Kong which will run until January 2017.
