Potential FS candidate steps down from chief role in Chong Hing Bank

The Board of Directors of Chong Hing Bank Limited has announced that Margaret Leung Ko May Yee would cease to serve as the Chief Executive of the bank with effect from 19 April 2017. Zong Jianxian, Deputy Managing Director and Head of China Business of the bank will take over the role. Mrs Leung remains as Executive Director, Deputy Chairman and Managing Director of the Bank to focus on supervising the strategies of the bank.

Mrs Leung was tipped as one of the potential Financial Secretary candidates for Carrie Lam.

 

New appointments to LSGSC

The Government has announced the appointment of three new members to the Lump Sum Grant Steering Committee (LSGSC).

They are Alice Lau Oi-sze, Chief Executive of The Lok Sin Tong Benevolent Society, Kowloon, Irene Leung Pui-yiu, President of the Hong Kong Social Workers Association, and Yip Kin-chung, President of the Hong Kong Social Workers’ General Union.

The government has also announced the re-appointment of 10 incumbent members to the committee and the re-appointment of the Chairman, the Vice-Chairman, and six incumbent members to the Lump Sum Grant Independent Complaints Handling Committee.

All appointments and re-appointments will take effect from 22 April, 2017, for a term of two years.

 

Five Appointmented to Employees Retraining Board

Five new members have been appointed to the Employees Retraining Board for a term of two years with effect from 1 April, 2017. They are Chan Shan-shan, Susan So Chan Wai-hang, Tse Siu-ling from the employers’ side, Cheng Ching-fat from the employees’ side and Christina Chan Shuk-han as representative in connection to vocational training and retraining or manpower planning.

The government has also announced the re-appointments of the Chairman, the Vice-Chairman and seven incumbent members to the board.
